Our story
From a Logan Square kitchen to the corner of Milwaukee.
Logan Square Bakehouse started in 2019 as a Saturday-morning bread stand on the front porch of a two-flat off Kedzie. Friends and neighbors put their names on a list. Loaves came out of the oven in batches of twelve.
Five years later we're a few blocks east, in a small storefront on Milwaukee Avenue, but the rules haven't changed: long ferments, simple ingredients, and bake just enough for the day. When it's gone, it's gone.
Our flour comes from Janie's Mill in Ashkum, our butter from a Wisconsin dairy, and our hot chocolate is built around a custom blend roasted by friends in Pilsen. We don't ship and we don't freeze.
